Our DNP dye sub media, Kodak dye sub media, and Hiti dye sub media reproduces stunning imagery and vibrant colors that professionals have come to rely upon. Dye-sublimation diffuses dye, using ribbon onto paper. Heat is applied to the ribbon and that converts the dye to gas which is, in turn, absorbed into a specialized receiving layer on the paper. Dye layers are then sealed into the paper to protect against UV light, fingerprints, and even water. Unlike ink technologies, there is no smudging, running, or blotching because prints are dry and ready to touch as soon as they leave the printer.
