Debbie Prigge Celebrates 40 YEARS at Pakor!
Business at Pakor came to a halt for a short time on Thursday so that we could take a moment to celebrate
Debbie Prigge and her 40 years of service at Pakor.
Starting at Pako in August of 1978, as you can imagine, was an entirely different world from the Pakor of today. When asked about changes throughout the years, Debbie didn’t have to think for long. “Probably the biggest change during my years at Pakor had to do with the changes that the photo industry has gone through. From the mom and pop photo lab, to the one hour photo craze, to everything being completely digital.”
Debbie started her career at Pako doing keypunch in the Data Control department, where they did all of the data entry for the entire company. “The information would come in all day and we would enter everything from accounting to engineering. All of the data was stored on discs and there was a huge computer room.”
As the years rolled by, Debbie’s keypunch days changed to more of a customer service role. Debbie worked for Pako, then Pako Graphics, then Pakor Photo, and now Pakor, Inc. One thing is clear to me… Pakor has been a better place because of Debbie! Her smile is bright in every picture that I found with her in it, and the stories that she shared of the fantastic people she worked with over the years made it clear to me that Debbie has had a huge impact on not only the organization and her colleagues, but on the many Pakor customers that she helps every day. Congratulations Debbie!
